On Wednesday 10th February ten keen kayakers met at Kent Street Weir. This little adventure, paddling up the Canning River was organized by the Wednesday/Thursday Kayaking groups. We were very happy that people new to kayaking had the opportunity to explore new territory.
It was very hot however, so being on the water was the best place to be. We were delighted to watch the bird life particularly parent birds nurturing their babies.
Altogether we paddled about 8 kilometres and we all returned to enjoy a picnic lunch together. It was a very pleasant day out.
